Innsbruck (July 2012)

A couple of weeks ago, I tagged-along with hubby on his business trip to Innsbruck.  All I knew about the place was that it was near the Alps, but as it has been alternating between sweltering and thunderstorms, I didn’t need much persuasion.  Of course, hubby tried to clue me in, citing it’s location in Tirol and the city’s eloquent history; however, I have the singular talent of actively not listening – so I didn’t hear a thing!  To my reasoning, if I know everything about the place before I get there, then what am I going for?  What can I say, I like to be surprised!

As we got near the end of our 5-hour drive from Vienna and the first views of the Alps greeted me, that old thrill of visiting someplace new flooded through my body!  Here’s a quick tour of my first day in the Altstadt (Old City).

About A Bahamian In Austria

I am a Bahamian woman, married to an Austrian man, who's been freshly transplanted to Vienna. I started writing this blog when a dear friend insisted that I had to write down my experiences. At best it'll update my buddies on my crazy-going-ons and at least, it'll keep me from stalking them online (LOL). I hope you enjoy :D
